Mutt and Jeff

Pippa, our Jack Russell terrier, found a new friend today on her walk. His name is Jeffrey (or possibly Geoffrey) which seems an odd name for a dog. Anyway it enabled me to use this heading. The pairing, Mutt and Jeff, was familiar but I couldn't have said how it originated until I looked it up on t'internet which tells me it was one of the first, if not the first comic strip, that ran in America at the turn of the 19th century. Here she is again with her stick in George's blip.

We're having smoked trout tonight. Must go and get it smoking. Have a good weekend.
