Flower Friday - Sole Survivor

We have a lovely clump of these geraniums just by our back door, but this is the sole surviving flower as winter rapidly approaches.

Maybe I should have photographed it this morning while the sun was out, but I was too busy clearing leaves! However maybe the raindrops somehow add to its solemnity.
