"OH WHAT A COLD COLD NIGHT!!"

This is how it is down here, very cold.  I know the whole country is suffering but with the Arctic winds here, even though the sun is now shining, it is bitterly cold. 

It is Mr A's 70th birthday and because I haven't made a cake, he and Matthew will indulge with a cream tea mid afternoon.  Last night we visiting our lovely C Bay restaurant and enjoyed a superb Taste of the West  evening.  Matthew had never eaten scallops before and he loved them.

Not much sleep last night as the wind was rattling at the windows and the hail hammered trying to get in.  How Phoebe slept under our bed I don't know but she certainly didn't make a sound.

So we are staying in today, enjoying a Beef Stew with curried dumplings this evening which is now brewing in the slow cooker.
