All change across the way

Our new neighbours are taking decisive action with their garden. The previous owners had let the leylandii grow unattended so as a result the hedge was tall, wide and covered with ivy.

They came around to explain what they we doing and ask for our views. They're going to put a 2 foot high fence on top of the wall to give us and them some privacy. Removing that thick hedge will give us more light too, which is a good thing.

Otherwise, spent the morning writing a report then went to the gym in the afternoon. Practised the uke before dinner. Can play Jingle Bells and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star at half the tempo it is supposed to be played at, getting most of the chords in the right order. Collected Ukulele for Dummies book from the Library. Should be right up my street.
