It's Christmas!

Christmas in Edinburgh officially started today with the switching on of the lights and a short fireworks display. I got the impression that it was not as busy as last year,  although this year they had closed off the entire length of George Street this year, instead of only half of it, so it's possible there was the same number of people only spread out more than previous years or it may have been less busy. Anyway it was really cold and I was pretty tired so I did not visit the Christmas markets this evening (there will be plenty time for that ).
