Oregon Dark Eye Junco

I took photos of the black capped chick a dee, Bewick wren, junco and down woodpecker; I liked this one the best. I was wondering about the different Juncos, so I looked it up: "Dark-eyed Juncos in the Pacific Northwest may have a reddish back and a dark “hood” (Oregon race), while Dark-eyed Juncos in the northeast are generally a slate-gray color, without a hood (slate-colored race)." Very interesting to me.

Thanks for visiting. I was pleasantly surprised to see my funny squirrel on the Popular Pages. Thanks for the stars and hearts that sent it there!
