Distant snow

It was snowing as we went to bed last night. Relieved that it hadn't settled as we had an early start this morning to meet Lucy in Newcastle - she'd caught the Megabus from Leeds. After a coffee and bacon-roll second breakfast (for some of us), we had a browse around the market before driving home along the coast.

Stopped to walk over to St Mary's lighthouse - the blip is looking north from there. In the far distance, behind the white house on the cliffs, are the snow-covered Cheviot Hills. Second stop for a walk on the beach at Alnmouth, and a bite to eat (over-priced crab sandwiches...).

Back to the flat for a short while before heading in to Berwick to see Spectre, the new James Bond film.

A good day - and lovely to have Lucy with us!
