"reasons to be cheerful, part three . . ."

So today is the one day (out of many) Americans of all stripes gather around the finely set dinner table and give thanks:

So here are reasons I find - everyday - to be thankful

(1) She Who Must Be Obeyed

(2) The Daughters Three - aka - Stephanie Diane, Jennifer Marie, Darryl-Elizabeth

(3) The (to a degree) good health of all the above

(4) Stephanie Diane's medical PROFESSIONALS

(5) My Friends on Blip - their health, their family's health and well-being

Okay, enough of that smaltzy holiday nonsense, back to reality . . .

Much of yesterday afternoon was spent at the United Nations, and it being the "United Nations" had visitors from all the member states and even some (must be one or two) that are not members, all wanting to tour the auditorium and 'gift-shop' listening to explanations and important facts and features regarding the history of the organisation, it's past presidents and the building itself

(point here if I may: the "original" United Nations met first back home on Market Street; there's a plaque in the ground and a big stone and fountain that so states, it's the one with no homeless guy sleeping on it, must do something about that but I digress)

Where was I,

Oh yeah, the tours of the United Nations, we opted to take one - yep, after all, we were being bloody "tourist" only, the English Language tour wasn't scheduled for another two hours - you see each 'language' has it's own tour - and not having two hours to waste, we took the next available tour, figuring the words we could read in a book or online (we could see pictures/videos of the place online as well, but hey) so off on the Serbo-Croatian tour we went

Obviously and blissfully ignorant of every important fact stated

Enjoy your life people, it's the only one you'll get

Oh yes, another thing to be Thankful for today: this blip has come to an end
