Grass seeds

The hedge sparrows are doing well taking grass seed from weeds in the planter boxes on our deck at the apartment. After a quiet day of resting, eating, resting, walking on crutches, resting, reading, resting, dealing with email, resting, and looking on the net, I was again quietly resting on the daybed when our deck was visited by some busy sparrows.

I had to take photos through the glass doors, as there was no way they would wait there for me to get onto crutches and to the door out. 

For all of that, and that I had on the camera the 50-200mm lens, rather than my 100-300 lens, I ended up with a photo which quite pleases me.
