Repotted

After I had watched a delayed telecast of the New Zealand rugby All Blacks beating France In Paris, S and I went to the garden centre and got some new planters to replace the old ones which have reached a venerable age and needed replacing. We then dodged the rain which only occasionally blew onto the deck and wet us, while putting planter mix into one of the new pots and relocated some of the crucifix orchids. Some had actually rooted in the tray beneath the old planter, while other plants had only aerial roots. On top of the dry and dusty soil in the old planter was a tangle of roots supporting the many plants which have featured intermittently in past blips. We have put the newly planted up planter box in a different place, and all in all it has been a satisfying afternoon.
