The Rain Clouds Were Clearing out to Sea

10.8C starting dry with a spectacular dark red sunrise then becoming wet and windy for a time. Clearing later. Wind to 26 mph with gusts to 40 mph moderating in the afternoon.

This morning things were varnished ... on their outsides ...

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after 2.30pm once the rain had begun to clear. We went down the road to the shore road then went over the road bridge over the railway to the beach at Westhaven. The tide was in and the sea surprisingly calm. The rain clouds were clearing out to sea. Valhalla A was moored close to shore. We came back over the railway bridge and round in a loop up the main road and along to home.
