Project Photo 2 - The Year of the Sheep

February 19, 2015 was the first day of the Year of the Sheep. A common folk saying is that only one in ten children born in the Year of the Sheep find happiness. As lore has it, these children are destined to be docile followers not leaders, and will experience a lifetime of bad luck. Perhaps someone forgot to tell Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Twain. Or maybe they are just among the one in ten?

I tried hard to make this sheep look fierce with the angle of the camera, the vertical orientation and a few highlights on the horns, but this creature's soft eyes eyes give him away as the docile animal that he is. The lantern designers and builders are very skilled.
