Another rugby match

Last night it was lovely to come home after our dinner at friends, knowing that Luke was home. We only got home at 1.30am - they live far away in deepest Kent - and Luke was already asleep. However, this morning it was great to catch up on all his news and find out about his first term (so far) at Durham University.  Other than the half shaved eyebrow - don't ask, one of those silly sports initiation things - he looks well and is very happy, loving his time at Durham so far.

Another Saturday and that means another rugby match. Luke had so much work that he unfortunately did not come with us, but Gavin and I braved the cold weather to watch Thomas' match - which was shortened when the score got to a differential of more than 50 points between the teams (with Thomas' team winning). Thomas scored two tries which resulted in the very muddy kit (see extra) and I could not resist a photo of this sweet little puppy - in the extras - who stole my heart (sorry Murdoch!) As we near the end of term the light is very low at this time of year, and at a setting of ISO 5000 I was surprised to get any half decent shots today.

A quiet night in tonight with one of Luke's favourite suppers - lamb tagine. Thomas is thrilled to have him home, even though it is a short visit as he goes back to Durham tomorrow.
