Bye bye pond!

Today we met Michael the architect for the first time.  He seems very nice, and within ten minutes of being in the house (and a quick phone call to the planning office) he confirmed that we would be able to have the sash windows we want on the front of the house!  He also confirmed we would be able to replace the ruined natural slate tiles on the roof with replica slate.  This means Stu can have the new roof he wants so badly (if we had to replace with slate there is no way we could afford it).  Hopefully in a week or so we will have a full set of drawings ready to be put in for approval!
Today Stu and I have pulled more plaster off the walls making loads more mess.  We have managed to get rid of loads of rubble in the pond, but it is really starting to look a mess.  Think we might have to order a skip soon as the pond is getting that full you can walk on it!
