Vánočka

You can always tell it’s getting close to Christmas when the kitchen starts to fill with delectable smells, and Paladian starts to make Vánočka.  It’s a Christmas bread from the old Czechoslovakia, and she learnt the recipe many years ago from a Czech friend of hers.  It has in it a small amount of dried fruit. She’s been making it for years and years.  I can attest that this year’s batch is the very best yet.
