Life though my lens

Forest Guardian

We started today by heading down to the gardens by the bay, an area of reclaimed land which has been converted to a huge garden for tourists and Singaporeans alike to enjoy. Within the gardens are the super tree grove and two massive dome structures holding a botanical flower garden and a cloud forest garden. We took a tour around both and arrived right in time to see the misting of the cloud forest, an injection of mist from the 35m tall mountain, which shrouded the lush vegetation in water. During the misting I was able to snap this photo of one of the beautifully carved statues situated around the gardens.

After the gardens we opted to take a night time tour bus around the city. Our first stop was a food market at the bottom of the Singapore eye where we tucked into a bowl of noodles and satays. Then it was on to watch the spectacular light display at the super trees, which was christmas themed for this time of year. After then travelling through the central business district it was on to a night market at bugis then to orchard street to see all the christmas lights.
