Life though my lens

A Gathering Of Orchids

Singapore is one of only two cities in the world which have primary rainforest situated within the city limits. This rainforest can be found within Singapore's botanical gardens, a free garden ranging for several kilometres. The garden is home to the first rubber tree plantation in Malaya, with Malaya now producing the largest amount of rubber in the world. It is also home to Singapore's national orchid garden, a garden showcasing over 3000 species of orchids, many of which are only found in this garden. The result is spectacular with orchids growing to perfection.

After the gardens we headed to the night safari, a night zoo experience which showcased nocturnal creatures. We got to see some amazing creatures from leopards to giant fruit bats to rhinos and even some elephants.
