Capturing my Journey

Sunshine and blue sky!!

Husband and Bud and some naughty hoggs (this years lambs) at the farm where we manage the livestock. Today we shifted some of the sheep about at this farm. Moving hoggs can be difficult as they are used to following adult sheep so we have to teach them to go through gateways and not panic and run the opposite way. Well these ones ran the opposite way quite a lot. Initially Pip was a little over excited at this and tended to split them up in a mad panic. However once she realised that we were aiming for the gateway and that i wanted them all together she suddenly starting keeping them together and pushing them quietly the right way BREAK THROUGH YIPPEE!! She has been on the verge of getting this right for some timr but her over excitement always took over and i would have to bring her back to heal as she was making the sheep panic.

After this we brought in the cows and took off the final calf from the final cow that had turned up at the gate to home. Saved us looking for her. Had to go out this evening and scrounge a bale of straw from another farm as there is still no delivery of ours.

Stocked up on more dog food today got 8 bags in the house and ordered 6 more to come on the next delivery!! Trying to make sure i have plenty coming into the christmas period when its harder to get things.

8c dry and sunny!!
