Steps to Montmartre

Our last day in Paris. We had a leisurely start before going to Place de la Republique in the hope of seeing all the shoes that been left as a sign of protest because a protest gathering is now illegal in Paris but they hadnall been cleared away.  Then we visited the Pere Lachaise Cemetary where we found both Edif Piaf and Oscar Wilde's graves.

After lunch we decided that as the light was good we would walk up the many, many steps to the dome of Sacre Coeur. Worth it for the view but not sure I have many successful images. After a much needed coffee we saw that the light was really nice which is when I took this photograph of the steps.

An early dinner and now we are back at the hotel and it is not yet 6.30 pm. An early night is much needed but I should have time to catch up with some comments before then.
