Sunrise Over The Edge Of The World

Stuart and I are extremely grateful to put our feet up tonight after our very, very long journey, but amazingly we are in New Zealand!! During our flight to Sydney, where we had a brief change, we saw amazing lighting storms all along the coast of Java. The lighting lit up the sky and turning huge rolling clouds pillars of light, luckily though we just managed to scrape by the edge of the storm without entering. After the storm we reach the Australian NW coastline, which was exciting. Flying over Australia really makes you appreciate how huge the country really is and also how empty. We flew over the one country for 4 hours before landing on the SE coast in Sydney!

After the flight we had a short stop before catching our last flight to Auckland where we are staying for a week. After all the travelling Stuart and I calculated we have been up for 29 hours non stop, so see you tomorrow, after some much needed shut eye!
