Santa with style

Today was wet. It rained from the time we got up to the time we went to bed - or it will have, I'm sure, by the time that bedtime comes, though it's only 16.45 at the moment. The only good thing about Santa's afternoon here was that the forecast severe gales didn't happen - they now say it will be tomorrow.

12 children came in to day and enjoyed themselves in the pouring rain so we shouldn't moan. Santa didn't moan - he quite enjoyed a restful afternoon looking out at the trees. He said he could see the outline of a reindeer on the branches of a cedar - he tried to point it out to me, but I couldn't see it. Sometime you have to stare for a long time before these visions come to you.

Any it was all worth it 'cos I got this charming picture of Santa with a white-spotted umbrella - that's something that you don't see every day, however long you stare at the trees!

As an afterthought I've added a slightly fuzzy extra picture of one of Santa's little helpers!
