Duck

A walk in the park today took me to the ornamental pond in the Blind Garden in the hope that the fountains would be on and with the wind we've been having today I was on for some windy spray blips...
No luck but on the raised pond were two ducks, male and female, quite happy in their solitude.
Recently on the bigger lake in the middle of the park local yobs had been using the birds as target practice for bows and arrows and the local paper had an horendous picture of one poor bird still with the arrow embedded in it's breast.
Tremendous difficulty was had in trying to rescue the bird.
This duck obviously has some self-protective commonsense.
Long may it last
The pair were very obliging in posing and the raised pond was very obliging on my knees.
