Brick by Brick

Today, instead of the regular Sunday school and church, we attended a fundraiser to raise the funds needed for a proper building for the church instead of the mud hut in village of tutangu (the current church is the thatched hut these girls are sat infront of)

It was a VERY long and tiring day packed full of sermons, dances, presentations and a tour of the current church and new foundations and lasted from 9-5.30! By 3 we were all getting pretty hungry but eventually the traditional food of sweet potato (different to the one in the uk) chicken stew, cabbage, rice and beans was prepared for us all to eat - side note- as bland as the food taste, somehow they manage to get a lot of flavour into it and I actually really enjoy it!

One of my favourite parts was the African dancing, there enthusiasm is totally infectious - will try include a picture of some of them dancing if I can.

Back home, a Skype with the action team in Kolkata, India, a spag Bol cooked and gecko chased out the house and I'm all tried out and ready for bed to start all over tomorrow
