Lone Child - Frank Black

After a dreadful sart to the day where by bus drove straight past the stop, resulting in me being 25 minutes late for work, things improved drastically.

We got our first client cheque through for my business. We have made money since we set it up, but only through stuff we have bought and sold ourselves. While it wasn't the biggest cheque in the world they will be regular from now on and will get bigger too. The fact it was the first one made it pretty exciting though.

Anyway todays track is from sometime Pixies frontman Frank Black. I gave some of his solo stuff a try right after the Pixies split up. At that point it was still quite similar to the Pixies but it just wasn't them. He went on to form a band called the Catholics then in 2005 released another solo album without them called Honeycomb. This is an album of laid back tracks he recorded in Nashville with a host of sessionists including the fantastic Steve Cropper (of Booker T and the MG's fame) and several other Stax era legends. He released a follow up which is pretty good too, but I still think this album is amazing.

Youtube didn't have the video for this track but I found someone with an mp3 on their site.
