latte sans one sip

my time in iceland is waning and i FEEL IT

dan came to visit over the weekend, and it was so nice to have a friend from home around. we did the golden circle tour (geysir, Þingvellir, a greenhouse ((???)), gullfoss) which was so beautiful in the snow, and spent the next day walking around rvk. a really Cool Thing is that we went to a bar and saw two cornell students who i had a class with two years ago. also a weird thing is that id'd at kaffibarinn and they asked me to leave because i wasn't 22????? what the heck kaffibarinn. i've only been id'd once in reykjavik. also is it even legal to create your own drinking age? whatever

today, there is a hurricane that is hitting reykjavík, so all of the stores are closing early and people are advised to not go outside. i got kicked out of the café i was working in because they were closing early. so i am now unable to do work for the rest of the night, i must only bake christmas cookies, drink christmas beer, and watch a shitty romcom. it's actually illegal to do anything productive during a hurricane. this is a true fact.

by the way, if anybody wants cookies, let me know. i can make your dreams come true.

i've also gotten a room at wageningen! it's in an apartment building/dorm type thing, super close to campus. it looks really nice, and my room is decently big. most importantly i don't have a roommate. 

i have lots of thoughts + opinions today, so i might edit this later.

also considering writing these in Proper English with Proper Capitalization. what do u think world. lmk
