Valparaiso, Chile

We've both absolutely loved our time in Valparaiso. So much so that we kept extending our stay. It's just a really cool port city with amazing street art and an awesome vibe.

We also met Brian and Deirdre again here (from La Paz) who are great fun and did an excellent walking tour where we got to see lots of great street art and here about the history of "Valpo". Hostel Po where we're all staying has a great vibe which is only aided by the fact that the wine is so cheap here in Chile, and really good. We even had a big barbecue on the hostel roof one of the nights.

There's also a great Welsh Bar up the road from the hostel so we've been able to see lots of the rugby World Cup, including Wales beating England.

One of the highlights here was an amazing cooking glass that we did with an Australian guy, Alex, from our hostel and another Irish couple. The class started at 4pm with us all going to the market to buy our ingredients and it didn't finish until after 11pm, around 5 courses and copious amounts of wine later.

We really could stay here forever but tomorrow we're heading down the road to Santiago.
