Carol Service

The City of Salford carol service this evening, at the Cathedral Church in the City. The blip shows people arrived before it all begins, some way still to go.

Performances by the Greater Manchester police band; the BBC Philharmonic brass quintet, the children  at Harrop Fold school, the cathedral school of St Peter and St John primary, and Moorside primary; and the Salford City Council staff choir. Great watching the kids enjoying themselves.

I am in the staff choir and we have been rehearsing for an hour a week over the last few weeks. We sang Gaudete, and The Christmas Song ("Chestnuts roasting in an open fire .... etc). The harmonies worked - we're getting better.
