Unwelcome guests

This pair of Canadian geese have decided to bring their family and set up home on our community beach. Much and all as they look quite elegant and the chicks are rather cute, the do leave vast quantities of "poo" all over the grass. Several years ago we had quite a number and it meant that we had to rake and mow the grass each morning during the holiday season so that the children weren't standing in it.
There is now an open season on them as they are considered such a pest, but they are very cunning and can spot someone hunting them from a great distance. Today these seemed to realise I was an easy touch with only my camera and didn't move very far.
Also while I was swimming I noticed a coot nesting under the jetty. I did manage a glimpse of two eggs but she was in no hurry to move, so will be following daily to see how long it takes until they hatch.
The other extra are lilles growing up on the hillside at a neighbour's property. They stand over 2 metres tall and have a very stong perfume. They really look stunning.
