Searching for fish

The morning was wet and grey. The sparrows and one greenfinch returned to clear up the scraps they'd left last night. Photos were taken, again through the glass doors to the deck.

This afternoon, although the wind has grown in force, the sun is shining, the sky and the sea are blue, and at least one takapu was soaring over Kawau Bay seeking food. I was near the cliff edge on mother-in-law's property, and had got there with only the 50-200 mm lens.

Consequently, I am quietly pleased with this photo of the Australasian Gannet as it banked away from where I was.
