Festive .12

Putting up the Christmas tree is a slow go. One of the light strings went bad after I had them all strung, and it was difficult to remove it easily; I ended up taking the garlands off as well and staring over with good working lights. I figure I can finish it in the morning before the cats are awake. In the meantime I took advantage of the sunshine and decorated the pear tree in the front yard--lights and shiny ornaments to entertain whoever passes by. Not a big display, but enough brightness to soften the early evening gloom.
