Grey Francolin(Francolins pondicerianus)

What a lovely pair of Grey Francolin, very common, but so hard to photograph as they are one of the most secretive birds around, so to see two having a chatter is fantastic. They do look wary though! They have powerful beaks and feet so they can scrape away the soil to reveal and tasty morsels, such as roots and seeds. They spend most of their time making alot of noise in the undergrowth, but not coming out unless they want a drink. This is back in my Wadi again.
