The Pew

Every summer, the pew is shifted back into place in front of the poplar tree on the reserve overlooking the lake. And during the summer evenings the local "congregation" amble down for "fellowship" over a few refreshments.

Such a happy place where everyone is welcome, no one has to clean up or host it, some bring food, some arrive early and leave late, others arrive late and leave early. That is what summertime is all about...there are no rules.

And tonight was our first gathering of this summer, with eight "parishioners" joining in. It did feel good, sitting in the sun and enjoying everyone's company, and home by 7 to get the meal on.

I have loaded an album of images from our visit to the woolshed yesterday on Flickr, such a great afternoon.
