A Bonnie Day

It is what the Shetlanders might call a 'bonnie' day- sunny, frosty and cold but not a breath of wind.
We had an early walk to the temple of toast before venturing along Princes Street past the throng of Santas about to run round the gardens for charity and on to the Calton Hill at the east end.

It was a bit of a slippery ascent to the Dome on the top and the Collective Gallery where at the Craft fair, Glasgow daughter had a stall selling the remains of the memorabilia which her company, Panel, commissioned and curated for the Olympics in Glasgow last year.

It is quite some years since His Lordship and I were up on top of the hill, certainly not in almost seven years since I started blipping, so it was wonderful to see again the 360 degrees view of the city it afforded. Even at 10:30 the hill was very busy with tourists so it might be good to return some day when it is not so busy.
