Weathered

This morning I felt 'weathered' after a night out in Bicester with my mate Jason. Gazing out of his patio doors this morning, it was grey, damp and misty. I noticed the fence, covered with lichen/algae/moss/green stuff/whatever you call it, and thought that it'd make a suitable subject. 

How do you make a fence aesthetically pleasing? Challenge accepted. OK, so using the rule of thirds and a very narrow depth of field, I hope I achieved the desired effect. 

I have to say that I'm really loving my macro lens at the moment. I love the super narrow DOF it gives at f2.8.
