Le Aiguille Rouge

possibly a contender for the most common name in this part of the Alps  but this one is sandwiched between the Aiguille de Varan (HERE) and the Tete du Colonnay - forming a central pinnacle to these imposing cliffs.

A lovely day of friends today - coffee wih Di this morning in an oh so frosty Chamonix - sometimes it seems as if it  doesn't see any sun in winter - then a quick stretch of the legs at Sallanches along with some shopping - as tonight the bundle of joy that is my little cockney friend Gazza is coming to visit- and as he's now all loved up he's also become vegetarian - which as many of you will know can be a challenge in France - so I'm cooking & he's bringing the wine. Lots of wine....hence the early blip!!
