Family Santa Day

Busy day today delivering family presents and cards. Chesterfield was first drop for those in the Chesterfield/Sheffield area at wife’s mother’s house – she was out! Quick lunch in IKEA (no time for shopping (debit card breathes a sigh of relief). Called into Decathlon to get loyalty card and wife suddenly remembered things she couldn’t do without 3 figure hit on the debit card. At this point no blip – so a swimming poster has come to the rescue!

On to brother with presents for those in the Kimberley/Ilkeston area. After coffee and mince pies on to daughter for those in the Mansfield/Sutton-in-Ashfield area. As soon as we joined the M1 for return journey big notice announces that it is shut at Lutterworth and tailbacks almost to Leicester. So we dive off and join the A6 for a slower but uneventful journey home.
