Elvis....

Out of his cage.

A truly murky day - it has got foggier and foggier. Thankfully we didn't have to go far but decided to walk along to the garden centre for coffee in the Potting Shed this morning.

I thought it would be an opportunity for a blip from the Snow Zone, where they have a Santa's grotto but Elvis stole the show.

I have featured Elvis before, once on top of a telegraph pole at the bottom of our street when he got out and once in his cage here at the garden centre. He is here because he has an ASBO for bad behaviour.https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2127052
He was privately owned and used to escape around the village. He does speak and has reputedly sworn at people. Many years ago, before my involvement in blip, he spent a bitterly cold February night in the Oak tree that was then at the bottom of our back garden. We were concerned for him but his owner came and couldn't get him to come down. In the morning he was on our neighbour's patio table looking at his reflection in their patio doors.

He has been here for quite a number of years now. When we passed his cage his door was open and later, as we had coffee, I saw that he had come out onto the top of the cage. He was unconcerned by people looking at him or me taking a picture or two and as we left he had tucked his head under his wing and settled down to sleep. Obviously just wanted a change of scene!

Only bought a Pointsettia, couldn't resist and have gone for a white one for a change this year So Elvis was the one providing a bit of colour today.
