My friend’s funky old Chevy pick-up truck has a problem with the battery charging system.
I spent the afternoon checking the battery and alternator.
Many hands have caressed the vitals of this venerable old truck in its 50+ years.
The wiring of the alternator is in a word, "non-standard".

The daylight ran out before I finished sorting out the wiring, but I have an inkling of what might be causing the problem.
