Between fen and mountains

Scrap silver

These silver trophies were bought in as scrap silver.  Several of them are 1930's winners in the annual Potato Growers' Association competition.  It may seem mundane but no doubt the winners still felt immense pride in the same way Andy Murray did lifting the Davis Cup.  A few more cards were written today and a few more jobs ticked off the list.  I might even have mowed the lawn except it was too wet.  I can't believe the grass has grown so much in December!
