WE RELEASED A SEA-TURTLE!

Today I had another awesome experience! We got to tour a a sea animal rescue in Thailand near Khao Lak right across from the beach. Inside we learned more about the mission efforts to save more sea turtles and how they microchip the ones they release back into the wild to track their progress. We saw many cool fish and some even liked you to touch them! After microchipping our turtle we got to name and release it out into the ocean. We were all nervous at first because the turtles seemed to be dazed, but once they hit the water it was like a bullet had been shot because they swam so fast! This preservation of animals reminded me of home and how we have many laws protecting animals that are nearing extinction. I think every country we've visited in someway has a desire to preserve their environment and if we want to keep living the way we want, then we have to make the effort to preserve our planet and its people.
