JAMES BOND ISLAND!

We are now officially in Bangkok! I would describe Bangkok as an eastern New York City, basically a huge city with tons of skyscrapers and hotels. We stayed at one of the classiest hotels I've ever been in called the Novotel and our room overlooked all of the city! Today we took a canal tour of the city on these huge motorized longboats and got to see the old palace! I didn't even know that Thailand had a monarchy until a few days after arriving. The people of Thailand love their king and our guides advised us to never speak a bad word about him or people might not be kind to us. This is very different then in the states where we can say whatever we want about our president and other officials without any consequences. James Bond island was another stop we made, after getting a tour of the caves around it in a canoe! James Bond island is the spot where an old James Bond movie was filmed and it brings a lot of tourist every day! The caves and mountains of Thailand are much different then ones back home! Going in the caves you see litter and trash, along with the weirdest lizard/fish things you've ever seen! Back home we have a very strict policy on not littering and disposing of everything correctly and I think Thailand would be much more beautiful if that adopted these policies too.
