THAILAND ORPHANAGE

We learned early on in our trip that Thailand had a Tsunami a few years ago that has devastated the country. None of us really understood how bad it was until we watched this movie called the impossible that followed a family vacationing there on the day the tsunami hit. It was intense and hard to watch, my friend even fainted while watching that's how painful it was to watch people endure so much pain. Many people died and the number or orphans sky rocketed. We visited a local orphanage and many of the older kids there lost their parents to the tsunami. The kids were attended school and were very well taken care of but you can tell that they don't get held often or just a lot of one on one time. So we stayed for a few hours and just loved on these kids. Kids are the same everywhere, crazy and hyper and in need of affection and love. I was super grateful for the experience to meet all these kids!
