Splash of colour

I was out in the woods this afternoon, gathering some holly, ivy and yew sprigs for decorating our fireplace. Apart from the holly berries, which are really good this year, the vegetation was dull and dank and brown. Then I spied a great splash of bright yellow amongst the brown beech leaves - like a cheery smile. It was a log completely covered in Lemon Disco cup fungus, Bisporella citrina.
