The holly and the ivy...

A seasonal picture today - holly and ivy looking splendid in the garden. And an insect extra thrown in for free! The colourful leafmine on the holly leaf (bottom right) is made by a tiny fly, Phytomyza ilicis. It is now widespread so I'm sure you will find it somewhere on holly you have gathered.
