Going!

I had forgotten that the huge boiler house of the former Cockenzie Power Station was being demolished this afternoon.  With the appearance of a brief sunny interval we had decided to go for a short walk on the coast and deduced that the many classes of school children walking down the road must have been going to or from church after a Christmas service.  Then finding our road closed we realised what the children were going to watch and luckily we found a place to park and joined the hundreds of onlookers.
In September we had seen the two giant chimneys falling behind the huge boiler house and today there are now few remains of what was once the largest power station in Scotland and a prominent coastal landmark.
The extras show the building a minute before and three minutes after the controlled demolition of the boiler house.
