Decline and soon to fall

This beautiful conservatory is at Innellan and every time I go past I think how fine it must have looked in its heyday,  how good it would be to try to restore it and how wonderful then to sit in it on a summer evening looking out on the ships and yachts  coming up and down the Clyde (for the estuary is right behind where I took the picture).

However the whole property is in a state of ruin and I understand will be knocked down and the site used for another house.

It would be such a pity to lose such a structure for ever.   But perhaps it is beyond saving now.
