Sharing the pier

Whilst Wemyss Bay is closed the Rothesay ferry is using Gourock Pier.  There is of course an occasional conflict with the Argyll Ferries timetable but I have to say whenever I have been on board the change over has been handled very smoothly.

Last night at around 8.15,  in a rising wind, the "Bute" pulled away just as  the "Argyll Flyer" arrived  alongside the linkspan.   It didn't take long for the latter to tie up and the small group of us who were travelling were very soon on our way home - in my case from the last Parliamentary sitting day of 2015 . 

Travel was also my theme on the first sitting day of the year - so this is a sort of bookend blip !
