To Infinity ..... and Beyond

Nothing to do with space travel, but the reason for my absence on Blip since Wednesday!

BT "activated" our new Infinity Superfast Fibre Broadband that morning and we were promptly cut off from all broadband connection!  The new Home Hub 5 that was supposed to arrive before the activation was lost in the Christmas post and the service wouldn't work with our Home Hub 4.  So no Blip, no emails, no internet for anything!  Aaaaaagh!!!

We were advised it would be Monday at the earliest before the Hub arrived (hence my text to a couple of Blip friends!), so it was a very pleasant surprise when the delivery man turned up with it this evening.
Within minutes, it was connected and up and running and so far, so good! 

It was a week for technical problems, as our gas boiler also developed a leak and had to be switched off yesterday.  Fortunately, an engineer was able to call this morning with the replacement parts and it's now safe and working well.  Lucky for us that it's been so mild recently:-)

I wasn't expecting to be able to post any photos today, so had to search around for a Blip.  We spent the afternoon putting up this Christmas tree in our outside porch, so that was my choice.  I bought the tree for under a fiver in a charity shop a couple of days ago and we had the lights and decorations already, so decided to join the neighbours in cheering up the street:-)
