AMAZING!

The day started badly when we woke to discover the toilet leaking all over the bathroom! Argh! Not what you want when there's a time pressure with the school run!
Had a good time meeting a German couple who work for 24-7 Prayer in Germany and are here for a month's sabbatical...good to get to know them a little bit...
Then this evening we went to THE café for a last drink & to say bye to everyone (they'll shut now for holidays until March)...then walked up into Sa Penya to call José for a chupito... Amazing to walk right into the Roma community, past the big fire in the middle of the street, and the various people huddled around it... Saw José who gave us SUCH  a big welcome and ushered us to his home! Amazing to be invited into his tiny house, meet all his family, have drinks, look at their family photos etc etc... I was so glad we'd got a gift for them!! It was SUCH an amazing thing as we've been praying for nearly 2 years for an invite into Sa Penya....We've never wanted to crow bar ourselves into peoples lives, and the more we've learnt about Romani Gypsy culture, the more we felt we needed to be invited in, we couldn't just walk in...so AMAZING that that's just happened!! I got on really well with the wife and we've been invited back, plus to their son's birthday party...just amazing amazing AMAZING!!!
Their house was SO tiny, very much reminded me of a Trapia (lS, NC, MK &PT!) house...and they were SO hospitable.
Anyway, a wonderful note to leave the island and 2015 on...

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Having a really nice moment with one of the Mom's from Asha's class.
2) Toilet-Gate not overshadowing the day...nothing will be done til we're back in Jan..we'll just have to turn all water off...
3) BEING INVITED INTO A ROMA HOME!!! Even more incredible as Roma are notoriously superstitious re doorways and letting non-Roma cross over them.
