Hidcote

The weather forecast showed that today would be a reasonable day, cooler than lately, but dry and sunny.  So we decided to go to the National Trust property, Hidcote Manor  Garden in the Cotswolds, especially as today would be the last day it would be open until the end of next February.

I resisted the visit to Santa that involved following a trail round the garden, though there were quite a few kiddies there doing just that.

We had a nice walk around the grounds and gardens and stopped at the cafe for a coffee, one of the few NT properties that serve a half decent cup.  I took one or two photos, surprise, surprise,  this is one of them.

It was then back to Stratford for a soup lunch at Nero and home for present wrapping and preparing tea, pasta bake as it's Sunday.
